Green Destinations, based in Birmingham, are a rapidly growing transport solutions provider who work with local authorities to deliver transport solutions. GM were delighted to be commissioned with the design and build of a number of Peugeot Boxer L4, 2.2 Blue HDI vehicles to Green Destinations specification.
The specification included the following:
Ultra-Lite 10-track flooring system with full length recessed tracks with non-slip vinyl-floor tracking designed so wheelchairs can be fitted left, centre and right.
In the rear saloon we fitted 6 Blenheim lightweight seats complete with trimmed headrests, lap and diagonal inertia reel red safety belts with all age adjusters fitted on NMI lockable fixtures and trimmed in Green Harris waterproof Ambla material with silver belts.
In addition to these were 2 tip and fold Phoenix seats trimmed in the same material to match. For wheelchair access we fitted a PLS underfloor passenger lift and supplied 4 sets of Braun wheelchair and occupant restraints.
For the driver upfront all the Boxers were fitted with an HD dash cam and for the passengers in the rear a fuel fired 2 Kw heater would keep them warm in the winter months.
To finish it off the front seat was removed to create space for a luggage pen, rear speakers were fitted in the rear and a courtesy panel by the entrance step.
Lee Jones, who worked with Green Destinations commented:
“It’s been a pleasure working with Green Destinations on this project. It’s great to start from scratch and end up with a small fleet of vehicles to their exact requirements given them years of reliable service to enable them to deliver their service in their community”.
