GM delivers the UK’s first all-electric CT minibus fleet!
Woking Bustler is set to be the first community transport organisation in the UK to change their fleet to electric vehicles with our LDV EV80.
Woking Bustler, who have provided community transport to local residents for 30 years, received delivery of their first two electric minibuses this week, with another five to follow throughout the year. Guy Padfield-Wilkins, chief executive says “we are very proud to be the first community transport company in the UK to be achieving zero omissions with these vehicles”
The UK’s official Community Transport Association welcomed the groups forward thinking “Congratulations on the new electric vehicles! It’s brilliant that you’re making these changes. You’re definitely ahead of the curve.”
In the Autumn of 2019 we joined with London Hire to create the first lightweight electric minibus, the LDV EV80. Since its conception, the EV80 has received an excellent reception with many organisations making the leap to electric vehicles.
The EV80 features 8 seats plus the driver with the option to remove 8 seats to create space for 3 wheelchair passengers. Boasting a zero-emission output from its 100 kW electric motor the EV80 can be operated in LEZ and ULEZ zones. A range of 100 urban miles means it’s an ideal inner-city transport solution that you can operate all day.
We have supplied community transport groups with minibuses for over thirty years, our Managing Director Graham Vooght commented “It has been great working with Woking Bustler to help transform their fleet. We hope they are the first of many CT’s to join the electric revolution”
